Widely Spaced Vectors

21 May 2009

As part of a Projects in Mathematics Class in Spring of 2009, I worked in a team researching the topic of Widely Spaced Vectors.

An orthonormal basis of n vectors can always be found for a vector space of dimension n. It is impossible to find more than n such vectors, but one can come extremely close. As the dimension of the vector space becomes increasingly large, as n → ∞, one can get extremely close to attaining a set of n squared nearly orthogonal vectors.

Please see attached paper for further details.
